How to choose a Garmin watch band
Garmin uses two different attachment systems, so the first thing to check is which one your watch takes. After that it comes down to band width and material.
QuickFit vs Quick Release
QuickFit bands clip onto a pin built into the watch and come off with a slide of the latch, no tools needed. They fit the Fenix (except the Fenix Chronos), Epix, Instinct, Enduro, tactix, quatix, Descent and MARQ ranges, the D2 Mach, Delta, Bravo and Charlie, the Approach S60, S62 and S70, and the Forerunner 745 and 9xx models. Quick Release bands carry their own small spring-bar pin and fit the Venu, Vivoactive, Vivomove and Lily 2 ranges, most other Forerunner models, the Approach S12, S40, S42 and J1, the D2 Air and the Fenix Chronos. The two are not interchangeable, even at the same width, so match the system your watch uses before you order.
Garmin band widths: 14mm to 26mm
Garmin bands are sold by type and width rather than by watch name, because several models share the same fit. QuickFit comes in 20mm, 22mm and 26mm. Quick Release comes in 14mm for the Lily 2, 18mm for smaller models such as the Venu 3S, Venu 4 41mm and Forerunner 265S, 20mm for models such as the Vivoactive 5 and 6 and Forerunner 165, 22mm for models such as the Venu 3 and Forerunner 265, and 24mm for the Venu X1. Our Garmin band size guide lists the exact type and width for every Garmin model.
Silicone, nylon, leather or metal
Silicone is the default for running, swimming and everyday wear because it rinses clean and handles sweat. Nylon is lighter and more breathable for long days outdoors. Leather dresses the watch up but is better kept away from water. Stainless steel and titanium give the most formal look at the cost of extra weight.
Garmin watch band questions
How do I change a Garmin watch band?
For QuickFit, slide the latch on the underside of the band and lift the band off the watch pin, then press the new band onto the pin until the latch clicks shut. For Quick Release, slide the small pin on the back of the band toward the centre, lift the band out, and repeat in reverse with the new one. Neither system needs a tool.
Will these fit my Fenix, Forerunner or Venu?
Every band in this collection lists the exact Garmin models it fits, by type and width, on its own product page. Between them, our bands cover the Fenix range including the Fenix 8 and 9, plus the Epix, Forerunner, Venu, Vivoactive, Vivomove, Instinct, Approach, Descent, Enduro, MARQ, tactix and Lily 2 families.
Are these bands sweat and water resistant?
Our silicone and nylon Garmin bands are built for training and handle sweat, rain and swimming. Rinse them with fresh water after pool or ocean use. Leather bands are not designed to be worn in water.
